People who have German parents, grand-parents, or great-grand-parents–or ancestors who lost their German citizenship due to World War II–may be eligible to apply for Germany citizenship based upon their ancestry.

In order to apply, you should try to acquire the birth certificates and marriage certificates of your German relative(s), and for each of the family members between you and that relative.
